Lecture by Professor Theodore Scaltsas, director of the “Archelogos Projects”, organised by the Edinburgh University Greek Alumni Association in collaboration with ELIAMEP and supported by the BGS

Changing the “face” of Penteli Mountain. The biggest re-afforestation project organised by SKAI and the Society for the Protection and Regeneration of the Penteli Mountain. The BGS participated officially and supported this event, see PHOTO GALLERY

The BGS was invited and participated in the ECOWEEK 2009 International Conference & Workshops (March 31 - April 6).
CONFERENCE: "KIFISSOS..."the Athens river" project was presented at: Papasotiriou bookstore and at the ATHINAIS.
WORKSHOPS: BGS president Vassilis Zotos and Constantine Vakiris (architect and urban designer) supported by Simon Rackham (landscape architect), both members of the BGS, led one of the workshops.The interdisciplinary workshops dealt with the former site of the international airport of Athens at Hellinikon.
