


The BGS has a number of specialist groups covering a wide range of fields of interest including music, art, architecture, economics, literature, the environment.  New specialist groups can be formed if members show interest to participate and ad hoc groups are also created from time to time for special events.
On a voluntary basis members of various professions or disciplines can actively participate in these working groups where, in addition to cultivating their professional contacts they can propose and materialize events, activities or projects for the Society in relation to their sphere of speciality.
BGS Group dealing with Environmental & Sustainability Issues
This group comprises professionals with various qualifications and expertise all relevant to the natural and built environment, green development, conservation, sustainability, climate change, renewable energy (solar, wind, bioenergy, geothermal, etc.), recycling, water management, waste management, etc.
Through the Society's membership it also expands to the fields of legal aspects dealing with environmental and sustainability issues, environmental psychology, as well as including people from the media dealing with environmental issues.
This group includes: Architects, Town Planners, Environmental Engineers, Landscape Architects, Engineers (various fields), Environmental Managers, etc. Â

"BGS Economics Group"
This group comprises professionals with various qualifications and expertise relevant to economics, finance, banking, management, commercial law and other related disciplines. Thus in this group we find economists, financiers, economic analysts, members of the media dealing with economic subjects, etc.
