The BGS is an independent registered non-profit making organisation (with no financial support from any institution or organisation) which is run by professionals working on a voluntary basis.

The President of the Society is Vassilis Zotos Dip Arch Dip TP (dist) RIBA FRTPI, a British qualified architect and town planner.   The Executive Committee is supported by a number of specialist groups for the materialisation of the Society’s wide range of activities.   Members are encouraged to participate in these groups and are welcome to propose and help establish new ones.

Since its founding the BGS has been privileged to have as its Patron the British Ambassador to Greece, thus providing a further strong link with Britain.
